About IN THE WAITING

In The Waiting: An Exploration For Cancer Patients And Their Loved Ones is a zine created for anyone who has experienced a brush with the disease. After sitting in many waiting rooms over the years during her Dad’s illness and cancer battle, and volunteering at Siteman Cancer Center in St. Louis, she thought of a few exercises that could be fun to pass the time. It also includes cancer related resources, podcast and reading recommendations, and wellness links she found helpful to support patients and families.

link for ZINE construction

You can print the spread files double sided on 11 x 17 paper and construct your own zine! Just follow the directions in the video tutorial below. (You can also make this with 8.5 x 11 (letter sized) paper, your zine will just be a little smaller. Be sure to trim about a half-inch off of the top and bottom of the paper!)
